SDD Reveals International Expansion Of Its JAZZ Fusion Private Cloud For Voice Applications

Delray Beach, Florida USA. SDD revealed today that it's JAZZ Fusion telecommunications middleware platform is delivering cloud-based telephony integration and managed application software services to hotel properties spanning seventeen (17) countries on five continents. The properties represent most of the worlds global hotel brands and they are served from SDD's owned and managed JAZZ Fusion private cloud. Together with SDD's enterprise-level data center implementations, the JAZZ Fusion cloud represents the next era in SDD's decade-old advancement of centrally-hosted, above-property voice application and integration services.

"It is increasingly difficult to justify, at any price, the management of distributed voice-related systems and their necessary distributed interfaces"; notes Ron Tarro, SDD's President and CEO. "The growth of our cloud based voice services has very much tracked the hotelier's desire to simplify hotel infrastructure, centralize telecommunications management, and reduce the total cost and complexity of providing voice services to guests. We are hugely pleased by the acceptance of JAZZ Fusion in helping hoteliers achieve those goals."

Resilient and Scalable Telecommunications Management Across An Enterprise

"We're extremely proud of our SDD technical team and their success in building this monitored and resilient technology infrastructure", notes Mr. Tarro. SDD's private cloud for voice applications provides reliability and recoverability that greatly exceeds that of distributed systems and servers. The JAZZ Fusion cloud infrastructure is scalable and redundant on all levels of process, data, network, and facilities. For the hotelier, use of the JAZZ Cloud and its applications requires no hardware acquisition and no hardware refresh. It eliminates application management including release updates, bug fixes, data backups, and data base administration. It eliminates server management including anti-virus, capacity planning, and performance management. JAZZ Fusion's hosted cloud allows hoteliers to focus on improving telecommunications efficiency and the overall guest experience.

Ten Years of Hosted JAZZ, Global Integration Partnerships, And Unified Telecommunications Management.

SDD has provided centrally-hosted JAZZ managed application services since 2000 and is today widely integrated with the most prominent enterprise telecommunications and hospitality technologies in the world. JAZZ's broad reach allows service personalization for guest high speed internet and voice over internet (VOIP) services across geographically dispersed hotels and hotel guest rooms. The most frequent application of JAZZ Fusion shifts voice technology integrations and call accounting services to the cloud for nationwide or global management of a hotel portfolio's in-room voice services. JAZZ Fusion consolidation into the cloud allows individual hotels and service providers to maintain a diversity of on-premise and hosted voice switching and business systems platforms, while maintaining one consistent business layer for managing the guest experience. The JAZZ Fusion cloud capability is augmented with SDD's JAZZ Fusion Telemanager services. Telemanager leverages JAZZ technology to provide ongoing management and optimization of a hotels voice and internet broadband facilities. JAZZ is widely integrated with commercially available telecommunications and hospitality systems.

Advancing a Green Hospitality Industry.

Consolidating voice telemanagement above property using JAZZ Fusion supports the hospitality industry's focus on sustainability and the green hotel. "Operating distributed software applications and servers is not a green practice", notes Ron Tarro. "JAZZ Fusion's hosted multi-property enterprise architecture inherently supports environmental sustainability". JAZZ supports this sustainability by eliminating distributed servers and consolidating their functionality into the JAZZ cloud. This architectural shift reduces the e-waste generated from acquiring and refreshing distributed server hardware and it reduces the overall energy footprint required to power premise-based servers and their redundant software instances. Further, distributed servers consume energy while at idle or when underutilized (which is a common occurrence on single purpose servers). JAZZ Fusion's enterprise level software design serves many hotels simultaneously and therefore fully and efficiently leverages computing resources. JAZZ represents a more efficient and sustainable utilization of information technology.
